The Microbusiness News Briefs is the sister publication of The MicroEnterprise Journal. It has been in publication since September 2002.

I launched these weekly News Briefs in order to stay in touch with those of my long term readers (many of whom had been with me since 1999, when I first started covering microbusiness news) who didn’t choose to subscribe to The MicroEnterprise Journal after it became a paid subscription publication.

For awhile, I had hoped to use these weekly news snippets in order to convert more paying subscribers. Gradually, though, I realized that for many (very) busy microbusiness owners, these bite-sized bits of news were just as much as they wanted to read and enough to help them feel they are staying on top of things.

And, well … here we are.
